We recruit university/graduate students who shoulder responsibility for the nest generation from all over the world. The PCY (Peace Conference of Youth) program offers participants the opportunity to learn and consider world peace. Finally they find out what to do for the achievement of world peace. The Program was established to raise leadership among the youth to take actions positively for the achievement of world peace.

We, the members of the Peace Conference of Youth, resolve to work together in a spirit of unity and solidarity, to fully take advantage of the opportunity to share knowledge and ideas with all other members, to include all members in supportive dialogue, to maintain an outlook of open-mindedness, flexibility, and eagerness to listen to others, to approach our fellows with respect and empathy, embracing both differences and compromise, and to act with confidence, optimism, initiative, and responsibility. We commit as individuals to active participation in the PCY community, to sharing our experiences and values with our communities and around the world, and to continuing the work of peace-building and open dialogue.
2010 PCY Conference
At the conference, the commemorative speaker was His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama. Panelists included Japanese singer Yo Hitoto, and President of Terra Renaissance (NPO) Masaya Onimaru who specializes in the rehabilitation of child soldiers and peace education. Toshiya Hoshino, former U.N. minister-counselor of political affairs of the Permanent Mission of Japan was the coordinator.

The 2011 PCY Program will be held from August 22nd (Monday) to 28th (Sunday) in Osaka. Further program details will be put on this website as soon as organized. Regarding the application guidelines, click here
